Smart Thermometer

IoT Thermometer

This isn’t a Smart Thermometer. This is a dumb thermometer.

When conducting market research, I found that today’s most advanced thermometers sported high-res screens, beautiful interfaces, machine learning capabilities, onboard memory, etc. All that technology in a thermometer—astounding! It’s almost as if thermometers were becoming smartphones… but don’t we already have smartphones?

It puzzles me to see thermometers, refrigerators or toothbrushes with various onboard capabilities. The Internet of Things enables all of these products to function centrally through the Cloud, and display centrally through our smartphones.

That’s why I designed this Smart Thermometer to be dumb.

It captures your temperature and sends it to the Cloud. The Cloud takes care complex analyses, machine learning and storage. Find it all in an app on your smartphone.
